Welcome to the new season of the London Metropolitan Basketball League (LMBL). On behalf of the Committee, I would like to extend a particularly warm welcome to the new clubs and also to some clubs who are re-entering the league after a break - I hope you have an enjoyable and successful season. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank in advance the Officials who will be criss-crossing London from one court to another!

I do believe that our League is the best in the country. The level, both in the men and women leagues, is of high standard and not only develops the potential of many young players who on a regular basis are able to compete with more seasoned players but at the same offers a great opportunity to encourage more and more people to take up this wonderful sport.

My colleagues and I on the Committee genuinely believe that significant progress has been made in the last few years but we acknowledge that much more needs to be done. We are committed to work hard and act fairly and reasonably in all circumstances but we would ask all Clubs and indeed Officials to help us by communicating early and effectively.
