| Welcome From The General Secretary
Dear All Rather belatedly, personally and on behalf of the London Metropolitan Basketball League Committee, I would like to wish all the clubs and officials a good and at the same time fun new basketball season. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish all the new clubs and officials all the very best. The League as you all know is extremely competitive and I would add that it is probably the toughest local league in whole of the UK. At the same time the League is an important vehicle for the development of younger players and officials - something that we all recognise as being necessary for the development of basketball in London and across the UK
- some people would argue not always acknowledged by our national body. The smooth running of the League is very much in our hands - it is important that we all communicate with each other at all times. At this stage, I want to single out the work that my colleagues Roger Bacchus and Courtney Carter undertake on behalf of the League. Naturally, I want to thank my other colleagues on the Committee.
As I shall not be refereeing for a few months as I am still recovering from a number of operations earlier on this year, it is my plan to visit as many clubs as possible. Please take this opportunity to raise with me any comments or concerns you might have. At the same time, please feel free to contact me about other related matters.
